I am thankful for good friends in my life. Not just friends who are nice people, but women who I want to align myself with in life. I want to be the best Mom and Wife I can be. More importantly, I want to be a good follower of Christ, because when putting God first in life, everything in life is so much better in every area of life.

This past fall I was a co-leader of a bible study at Gateway church. We used the Amazing Collection curriculum (which is a 3 year in depth study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelations) https://www.bigdreamministries.org/preview-materials/the-amazing-collection/. It was a great first semester and I feel blessed to be able to spend Thursday mornings with these ladies studying God’s word. I am looking forward to this next semester in the fall. I can’t express in words how good it has been in my life to be surrounded by these women on a weekly basis; discussing our lives, our trials, and how God’s word applies to our daily life events.

Thank you ladies for helping me on my journey to becoming closer to God and pursing his knowledge and truth. Thank you also for helping me keep my focus on what is truly most important in life: #1 God, #2 My Marriage, and #3 My Children. God brought this group of ladies together for a reason and I am so thankful for that- God always knows best!

There is a very thought provoking verse from Proverbs 13:20- “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble”

At this point in my life the people I surround myself with is more important than ever before, as I have children dependent on my life decisions. I want to surround myself with women who are working hard to make good decision in life, motherhood, marriage, and their walk with God, as they too will influence who I am. Sometimes we think peer influence ends at the adolescent phase. It doesn’t. We are influenced by the people around us, especially our friends, at every phase of life.

I am thankful for good friends…but more thankful for these friends who are good people in all right the areas of life.

Thank you God for these ladies..
