We hosted our annual Halloween party for the neighborhood last night. My friends and fellow social committee members Kristen and Kristle helped a great deal to pull off this event. It wouldn’t have been a success without their help! It was well worth all the time and effort to bring our neighborhood together for an evening of smiles, good food, even better desserts (thanks to Kristle), prizes and awards for the kids, and lots of fun socializing with everyone. It was a terrific turn out, especially considering there are only 54 homes in our neighborhood!

Justin and I built a stage for this event. Which we will use for years to come at other neighborhood events and other things. It all came together nicely for our neighborhood Halloween! I appreciate all the help cleaning up afterwards, thank you to the many neighbors who helped!

We had prizes and individual awards for every child who came. Our two judges, Tracy and Jennifer did an amazing job ensuring that each child had an award and was given a prize. They had to get creative with their adjectives! Most glittery, best Disney themed, scariest, weirdest, etc. They pulled it off and each award was an original! Several overall prizes were awarded too. It was a terrific evening with perfect weather. I am thankful for the cul-de-sacs in our neighborhood. They are perfect for large gatherings! Thank you to the Scott family for providing power for our event too! It was another successful Halloween event in our neighborhood. It helps that we have such nice neighbors.
