Gone, but never forgotten…
Six years ago today I gave birth to my (our) first-born child, Barron Christian Battles. Justin and I were feeling blessed beyond words and elated to be having a son. He was making our dreams come true. We both wanted to have children so badly. He was an answer to our prayers. Sadly, he only lived 8 weeks. The genetic disorder SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) took him far too quickly. We didn’t know he was sick when he was born. He looked like a perfectly healthy newborn boy. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Instead of it being the happiest time of our lives it soon became the saddest. We persevered through our faith and trust in Christ. I am thankful that God brought us through that time. Justin and I become a strong couple, determined to not fold under the sorrow and situation. I am also thankful that we had Barron. He was a beautiful blessing, even though he lived only a short while. He is never forgotten. I think of him each and every day. Today on his birthday, his 6th Birthday, we celebrate that he was with us on earth for those 8 weeks. We love you baby boy and I know someday I get the joy of holding you in my arms again in Heaven.
I absolutely love your website.. Excellent colors & theme.
Did you develop this amazing site yourself? Please reply back as I’m
looking to create my own website and want to learn where you got this from or just what the theme
is named. Cheers! http://bing.org
I use Word Press. I also purchased a package from Elegant Themes/ Bloom to make it look better. I have been happy with all that Elegant Themes offers.
Bless your hearts.
Magdalena, so many precious pictures of your little Barron, but my favorite, and perhaps one of yours as well, is at the top of the page where he is wearing the brown knit hat and holding the multicolored monkey. Such perfection!
Thank you Joanne ❤️
