This past weekend I attended the Glory Gals Christian women’s retreat in Chetek, Wisconsin. http://molly180.wixsite.com/glorygals
It was my third year attending the event. It was also my third year speaking and singing at this retreat. I will be there next year too! It is an amazing experience where God is present and you can feel his presence the whole weekend. I have been blessed to be a part of this retreat as it has touched my heart and soul each year. This year I felt like I was hitting a spiritual refresh button on my soul. Glory Gals has made me more passionate about my walk with Christ. Isn’t that something we all need?
I can say confidently that I am not the only one who walked away from Glory Gals with a heart more passionate for the Lord. I have seen women transformed there year after year. God is using the Glory Gals retreat to do HIS work in the minds and hearts of many women.
Anyone can sign up and attend this event. It is open to all women. The event takes place at the Luther Park camp in Chetek, WI. We stay in modern cabins (meaning hot showers, toilets, regular twin beds, and very clean facilities), the food is REALLY good, and the speakers are inspirational. The event runs from a Friday evening at 6pm until Sunday around 11:30am. Each day there is a keynote speaker and then on Saturday there is a series of break out sessions and you can chose what topics interest you most. EVERY speaker I have heard at Glory Gals has inspired me and touched my heart in some way. The music is pretty good too (I say that not just because I am on the Worship team).
What is special about this retreat is that it is a “come as you are” event. That means you can be anywhere in your walk with the Lord, at any season of life, and you can wear whatever you want (no fancy dress code). Although we have a Saturday night dress-up night. But dressing up is optional. Some ladies do and some ladies don’t. It’s whatever you want to do. Here I am with my friend Heather on our formal night. It was so much fun reconnecting with this childhood friend! Next year is the 5th year of Glory Gals. I missed the first year because my twins were just born. This 5th year will be amazing and the year to attend! The theme is Joy. I can’t think if a better theme, as the Joy that God has given me in my life is what has gotten me through the toughest times in my life. As scripture says “The joy of the Lord is my strength”. What a wonderful truth we all need bound and written on our hearts for a lifetime.
When is Glory Gals in 2018?
Right now it is priced at $150! This is an unheard of price for an entire weekend retreat that includes your accommodations, meals, all the speakers, and door prizes! The price will go up as we get closer to the event (approximately $170 right before the event in 2018). Whether it is $150 or $170, it is an amazing deal. Why is it priced so low? Because it is done as a ministry. My friend Molly Lee puts on this event year after year because she has a passion and heart for helping women. Especially women who are looking to grow in the Lord, are experiencing some heartache, or just want to fellowship with other Christian women. God is using her in a BIG way! Don’t miss out! http://molly180.wixsite.com/glorygals
One additon to the event this year was the service project we completed. Molly and her Thrive business provided the supplies so that we could make a slew of bags for children affected by domestic violence. These bags were filled with toys and goodies that will hopefully brighten their day. We made these up on our last day:
We also did an awesome art project, which I would consider to be art therapy. Destiny, who was our keynote speaker last year (and may be my overall favorite speaker, as she has an incredible testimony and even more incredible faith in Jesus) led this art workshop for Glory Gals. Here are pics from our art done this weekend.
Don’t let the opportunity pass you by. Commit to grow as a person spiritually. Do it at Glory Gals and have a wonderful weekend getaway at the same time! http://molly180.wixsite.com/glorygals
