Earlier this year my friend Kathryn suggested that our couple’s bible study use the parenting book “Triggers” for our spring semester. I am so grateful for that suggestion, because the book and study guide helped our family. I highly recommend this book to others as well.

I am even more excited about the authors of “Triggers”, Amber Lia and Wendy Speake, and their newest book. This book is called “Parenting Scripts”.  There is great wisdom and applicable parenting instruction in this book. I personally downloaded it on audible and have found their advice extremely valuable to my own parenting experience.

The authors were recently featured on Focus on the Family broadcasts. You can listen via this link: https://www.focusonthefamily.com/media/daily-broadcast/saying-the-right-thing-when-your-child-misbehaves?utm_campaign=672908&utm_medium=email&utm_source=nl_dailybroadcast

Check out the link above and listen! They offer practical, Godly, and valuable parenting advice. One of my favorite lines from the Focus on the Family broadcast is “figure out what you mean to say before you say something mean.” She goes into detail on the meaning behind this phrase on the program. There is so much good info and insight from these authors that all parents can benefit from listening. The Focus on the Family interview is free. Don’t miss out while it is available free online.
