I had headshots recently done. Preparations are being made for a new role that begins this fall. God has provided a wonderful opportunity for me to speak at conferences starting this fall. I will be speaking on the topic of child development. A topic that is close to my heart. For the past 25 years I have worked with young children as a nanny, ski instructor, child care center professional, foster parent, and most importantly as a mom. There hasn’t been a time in my teenage or adult life that I haven’t been actively involved in caring for young children. It has been my life and existence for so long.
It is a privilege and honor for me to be able to speak to child development professionals this fall and share my experiences and professional knowledge. Along with this speaking opportunity I have books in progress. I am finally going to be published! It has been a long time in the works. Literally, four years in the making. Two books will be released through Amazon/KDP publishing and two through a private publishing company (announcement to come soon on the titles and who I am working with for the publication of these books). I prayed for years for a book deal. Just a single book deal. Now I have four books in the works. God is so good! I am very thankful for the opportunity to write and have these books published.
With all of these new opportunities I had a need for headshots. Several of my friends had photos done by Thaddeus Harden. He is New York photographer who opened a studio in Texas in recent years. His work is amazing. After stalking his website for over a year it was finally my turn to get my photos done by Thaddeus. I knew that I wanted him to do my headshots over a year before I even needed them. His work is some of the best I have ever seen.
The photos he took of me I can honestly say are the best photos of me ever taken. Who knew I had to wait until I was 40 to get the best photos of my life taken! He is more than a photographer. He is an artist with skill and an eye for creating captivating and beautiful images. His website is definitely worth checking out: https://www.thaddeusharden.com/
His sports photos are some of the best I have ever seen! They probably captured my attention the most when I first saw his website. But he is so much more than a sports photographer, as you can see on his website. The business photos are amazing! He captures more than just images. He captures personality. He has photographed many celebrities over the years…including Christie Brinkley.
We are lucky that he decided to open up a studio in Southlake, Texas. I am thankful for the photos he took of me. His work speaks for itself.
My hair and makeup was done by Helene S. Hall. I definitely would not have been able to pull off this photo session without her talent! She made me look amazing! If I could have her come do my hair and makeup everyday at home that would be wonderful. Helene and Thaddeus make a great team!
At the end of my photo session, after my head shots were competed, we had some fun and did some artistic shots. He captured a great black and white look that Justin and I decided we will have enlarged and hung in our master bedroom. Thaddeus is an artist!
