The fall weather has finally arrived in Texas!  I have been waiting in anticipation of pulling out my  leggings, scarves, and booties. I wanted to share an easy style for fall that provides unlimited looks with one basic top and leggings. A basic black tunic dress and black leggings can look different every day of the week when you pair these basics with scarves, kimonos, and different jewelry each time you wear them.

I purchased this T-shirt dress (which is a tunic on me) on Amazon. Black tops and dresses are a staple of my wardrobe. I own a large variety, but this particular top is an easy go-to because it dresses up very easily and is still t-shirt comfortable. Here is the link to the T-shirt dress. It’s only $19.99 and a great staple for your wardrobe:

I am picky about my leggings. I want them to be soft. Not too tight and not too loose. They need to feel good and be comfy all day long. The leggings I am wearing in these pics fit the bill for me. I own 6 pairs (ok it may actually be 8), all in black, because I love them so much and they are worn most days of the week. They come from Costco in a two pack for under $20. The brand is Felina. They should be back in stock at your Costco now! Look for them in the area of Costco where they sell socks, underwear, tank tops, etc.

Below is the t-shirt dress and Felina leggings paired with different accessories, kimonos, and scarves for 5 different looks. This is my version of jeans and a  t-shirt. I like comfy clothes, but jeans and t-shirts aren’t quite my style. These looks are easy, comfortable, and a little dressed up at the same time.

Booties with Leggings

The shoes you select to wear with your leggings can make or break the outfit. I personally find that ankle boots that are too lose around the ankle end up making the outfit look clunky. To make an outfit look more polished with leggings I suggest booties. Booties that come at or below the ankle are intended for leggings. Here are some of mine below (from left to right: BCBGMAXAZRIA, Betsy Johnson, and Ivanka Trump).

Obviously the open toe shoes are for warmer fall days. Although it did start out in the mid-fourties the other day and I wore the Ivanka Trump open toe heels with leggings and a long sleeve dress.

My go-to booties on colder days are a basic black pair.

These are another wardrobe staple for me. They go with just about every leggings outfit I wear. Even though they are so simple looking I often get compliments while wearing them. DSW has an assortment of lovely booties on their website and in store. That store is my go-to for shoe shopping.
