Today my family attended the PKD event for North Texas. My friend Katie Cox organized a team to participate and invited our Moms of Multiples group to also attend and participate. Katie is a fellow Lake Cities Moms of Multiples board member. The event was a great way for creating aweness of this terrible genetic disease, while raising funds for the cause.

 We had a nice time at the event. My kids participated in the Penny Run and then we did the group walk. They also had their faces painted, had balloon animals made (Brielle was thrilled to have a unicorn made), got lots of candy and treats, participated in the costume contest, and got to see Anna and Elsa along with other characters in full costume. The event was very well planned. They had a 5k race that we didn’t do, but it looked like an awesome part of the event too! Tons of awards, prizes, and raffles were also given out today. We bought lots of tickets, but we didn’t win anything this time. We can always try next year!
